Reading without an account
The Bible reader does not require an account and does not ask for your name, contacts, location or advertising identifier. We do not add advertising to the app.
Visit statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit this website. For each page view it records the page address (for example the Bible chapter page that was opened), the referring website, the approximate country, the browser and device type, and page loading speed. It does not use cookies or store an identifier on your device, and it does not build a profile of individual visitors. It does not receive your search terms, bookmarks, highlights or exported data.
Data on your device
The web app stores downloaded Bibles, bookmarks, highlights, reading progress and preferences in your browser on this device. We do not send this reading database to our servers. Browser storage and service-worker caches allow offline use after setup finishes.
Browser eviction, clearing site data or device changes can remove this information. Use Settings → Export personal data to save a backup. Exported files contain your personal reading data; keep them private. Restoring a backup replaces the personal data on the current device. Bible downloads are not included in backups. There is no automatic cross-device sync.
Network requests and hosting
Opening the website, obtaining the translation catalog, downloading Bibles and checking for app updates makes requests to our hosting services. These requests do not include your bookmarks or reading history. Our OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare hosting services may process technical request information such as IP addresses and request headers for delivery, security and reliability. Their policies govern that processing.

Read aloud and sharing
Read aloud uses your browser or device speech service. Available voices may be local or provided online by your device/browser provider. Sharing sends only the passage you choose to the sharing destination you select; copying places it on your device clipboard.
Buying the PDF edition
If you buy the World English Bible PDF edition, the email address you enter is sent to Paystack for checkout and your receipt. Paystack processes the payment and keeps the transaction record; we never receive your card details. To deliver the file, and again whenever you ask to download it later, our server sends the Paystack reference to Paystack and checks that the payment is complete and matches the email you entered. Your browser keeps the email and reference in session storage until you close the tab, so the download page can fill them in. Download links are signed, last one hour and are not linked to your reading data. We do not create an account or keep our own purchase records. Cloudflare processes request details such as your IP address to limit repeated attempts.
Children and families
The reader has no ads or social features and does not knowingly collect personal profile information from children.
